Cheat
Play cards face-down and claim the rank. Bluff - or call out a liar!
How to play
Cards are dealt out. Players take turns putting 1 to 4 cards face-down on the pile, claiming they are all of the required rank (Ace, 2, 3, ... King, then around again).
You may lie. The next player can call 'Cheat!' instead of playing.
If the cards are revealed and not all of the claimed rank, the liar takes the whole pile; otherwise the caller takes it.
The first player to get rid of all their cards (and survive a challenge) wins.
About Cheat
Cheat, also known as BS or I Doubt It, is a bluffing game. Players take turns putting one to four cards face down and claiming they are the rank now required, counting up from Ace. You may lie, and any player can call you out: if you were lying you pick up the whole pile, and if you were honest, the caller does.

Tips for Cheat
- You can often prove a lie from your own hand: if you hold three Kings, nobody else can truthfully claim to be playing two of them.
- Lie early and with small plays, when the pile is small and a wrong call costs the caller little. Calling a big pile is a gamble.
- Honest plays are not wasted: they keep your reputation intact for the one time you need to get away with a big bluff.
Questions about Cheat
How many people can play Cheat?
Cheat is played by between 3 and 6 players. Real players and bots can share a table, so a game can always start even if you do not have enough people.
Can I play Cheat against the computer?
Yes. Pick easy, medium or hard bots and start straight away. Bots only use what a player in their seat could see, so they cannot peek at your cards.
Can I play Cheat online with friends?
Yes. Create a private room and share its code, or join a quick match. If someone drops out mid-game, a bot takes over their seat.
