Free Online Trick-Taking Card Games
In a trick-taking game each player plays one card to a trick and the best card takes it. Hearts, Spades, Euchre, Whist, Oh Hell and Bid Whist share that skeleton and differ in what winning tricks means: in Hearts you try to avoid them, and in Oh Hell you must take exactly the number you bid.
Four of them are partnership games, where you and the player opposite pool your tricks: Spades, Euchre, Whist and Bid Whist. Hearts is every player for themselves, and Oh Hell works for three to six players. Bots fill any empty seat at the level you choose.
Where to start
- New to trick-taking? Whist and Hearts have the fewest rules.
- Like bidding? Try Spades, Oh Hell or Bid Whist.
- Want a fast game with a small deck? Euchre uses only 24 cards.
