Canfield
Empty your 13-card reserve and build the foundations from a rank chosen by the deal.
How to play
A 13-card reserve is dealt (only its top card is visible), then one card starts the first foundation. Its rank sets the base rank of all four foundations.
Build the foundations up by suit from the base rank, wrapping from King to Ace.
Tableau columns (four) build down in alternating colours, wrapping from Ace to King. You may move a whole built sequence or part of it.
Empty columns are refilled from the reserve automatically; when the reserve is gone any card may fill a gap.
Click the stock to deal three cards to the waste. You may go through the stock three times (two redeals).
About Canfield
Canfield is a solitaire with a twist: a 13-card reserve is dealt first, and the rank of the first foundation card sets the starting rank for all four foundations. Tableau columns build down in alternating colours, wrapping from Ace to King, and you get three passes through the stock. It is tougher than Klondike, and a win feels earned.

Tips for Canfield
- Free the reserve first. Only its top card is visible, and every card you release exposes the next one.
- Remember the foundation rank is set by the deal, so look for cards of that rank early and get them up.
- You only have three passes through the stock, so avoid dealing through it until the tableau has nothing left to offer.
