Meld sets and runs, take deep into the discard pile, and race to 500 points.
How to play
Draw one card from the stock, or take any card from the spread discard pile together with all cards above it. The deepest card you took must be used immediately in a meld or laid off.
Meld sets (3-4 of a rank) and runs (3+ in a suit, ace low or high). You may lay off single cards on anyone's melds. Then discard one card.
A round ends when a player empties their hand. You score the value of the cards you melded minus the cards left in your hand. Aces are 15 (1 in A-2-3), face cards 10.
First to 500 points wins (highest score if several pass 500).
About Rummy 500
Rummy 500 is a rummy game for two to four players in which the discard pile is spread out and you can take any card from it, along with every card above it. You must use the deepest card you took in a meld straight away. Melded cards score for you and cards left in your hand count against you, and the first player to 500 points wins.

Tips for Rummy 500
- Taking deep into the pile is powerful but only when you can use the deepest card at once: do not take it hoping to find a use later.
- Aces are worth 15 points when melded and 15 against you when stuck in your hand, so play them or hold them deliberately.
- Lay off cards on any player's melds whenever you can, because every card you shed is a card that cannot count against you.
